Literally the worst meal I have had in DC. While the baked goods looked promising on entering, every item ordered for dinner was almost inedible. Poorly executed diner food. Maybe it’s a decent breakfast place but would absolutely not return for dinner.
Seated 40 minutes after our reservation and took an additional 40 minutes to get food.
I had the truffle mac n cheese bites and the green goddess salad and a few hours later I got sick.
Overall service was not the greatest. I understand everyone may not have the greatest day at times. First the nonchalant attitude and not the warm welcome I'm typically greeted with. Then the urgency to put the orders in very off. After repeating the order back and confirming that was the order was still brought out the wrong dish. Food was mediocre. Dessert was stale and our server seemed not to care when I mentioned it.
Food was not great to be honest. The biscuits and gravy was horrible
Hands down, the worst tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had. Any local diner would come up with a better version. Our drinks were good and the server was charming, but the food left a lot to be desired. We won't return.
Not a very friendly hostess at the front, and had a forgetful server who we had to ask a couple of times for various items. Not a terrible experience, just not a good one---much room for improvement.
The crab sammy was mostly filler and not very good. Certainly not worth the price. The fries tasted better than the sandwich.
