This had been a favorite restaurant for us. No longer after this experience.
DISORGANIZED! This meal was a disaster from the minute we walked in. The reservation was in our name but our friends arrived first. The hostess had a hard time understanding that they were checking in under our name. After being seated for 15 minutes, we had to find a manager to get someone to acknowledge is and take our drink order. Had to order iced tea twice before one was finally brought. Brussels sprouts appetizer and the salads were delicious. One of the veal chops ordered was inedible-just fat on a bone. It should nev... read more
We have been to Terra numerous times and this was our first real disappointment. One person in our party of 4 had the Vidalia onion soup and found it watery with little onion flavor. The deconstructed ravioli tasted as if the chef had melted Velveeta cheese on store bought pasta. A veal chop was cooked very nicely, and a scallop dish was superb. Not the best experience for a restaurant that we count on for a nice night out.
Although the patio is beautiful and service good, the food was mediocre and pricey for what it was. The portions were very small and honestly, I make better salmon at home.
The evening started out well enough, with about 10 people in the restaurant. Order a bottle of wine and through polite conversation with the waiter, found out there were to be 120 covers that evening. Then things broke down. Wine glass was constantly filled, which felt like we were being pressured to drink. Appetizers were not creative nor tasty. Arugula salad was so salty it could not be finished, which was mentioned to the wait staff. The duck special was chewy and on a bed of arugula which was too salty. There are too man... read more
A friend recommended Terra Terroir and we were pleasantly surprised with the interior. The service started off great but quickly went south. The food was mediocre and over priced for the portion size and quality. Also charged an upcharge for stuffed olives which came from a jar instead of hand stuffed. If the food and service had matched the ambiance, this would have been our new favorite restaurant. Very disappointed.
We had a party of 4 for dinner on Saturday eve. Placed our appetizer, salad and entree' orders (2 Steak & Frites, 1 Shrimp & Grits, 1 Ahi Tuna) at same time, along with wines by the glass - we ordered different appy's/entrees and each wanted a different wine. AFTER we were finished w/appetizers and salads, we were notified the "kitchen counted wrong and they were out of steaks." This would have been fine if we were told a few mins after placing initial order, but not at the time the entree should be served. We waited another... read more
Everything on the menu looks great, but nothing came out tasting as great as it looked, entree-wise. The appetizers were very good. We have been here before so were not hesitant to return, but we were pretty disappointed this time, so I'm not sure that we will return.
I went here with five girlfriends for a ladies night out dinner. salty food and rude service,we will not go back!!
