We got there for our 6:15 reservation. Our meal did not come until 8 pm. Our waiter kept stopping by and saying it’s on its way. But it didn’t come. One meal had too much salt on it. The other meals were good but we have no idea why we waited for almost 2 hrs for the meal. Felt sorry Forbes those folks who had later reservations because we could not leave until 8:45
I hate to write this! Because this has been one of my favs..but something's different...don’t know if they’ve sold out or what..food was mediocre, service great, prices way high!...and...NO ONE was there, and it used to be packed...so not sure what is different, but disappointing, as it used to b a great , affordable lunch spot...no more!...sad..,hate to see them go down!
Had been before several times and enjoyed it very much. Took a friend one time who wanted to go back. Went together this occasion. Service was terrible even though place was not busy, very slow, orders incorrect. Overall polite but it did not make up for slowness and confusion. Sad because the food was still quite good. Won't go back.
It wasn’t terribly crowded but we were still seated at a bad table that was basically a walkway despite requesting to be on the patio and making a reservation for such. They were understaffed so service was iffy - waited on water several times, empty plates sat on the table for a long time, etc.. Food wasn’t great for the price. We had been going fairly often, hadn’t been in awhile and probably won’t go back again as it seems like it’s going downhill.
We sat in the booth closest to the front. One side of the booth was lower than the other and I felt like I was a child sitting at the adult table. Plus it is very dark....no overhead lighting and the light on the table was not enough. I won’t be sitting there again. Very disappointing.
We arrived on a Saturday night at 6pm. The place was empty and the smell of old cooking oil permeated the dining room. The booths are disgustingly stained and every bench is a different height. New upholstery or a decent steam cleaning would go a long way in improving the look and smell of this place. Skip the salad. The caprese consisted of a few tomato slices thin enough to see through and lumps of 'feta' that were rubbery and gross. For a restaurant with a name (and decor) that imply farm to table freshness, they are way ... read more
Our server was not competent. She was uncomfortable when one of my guests made a request to add artichoke to her flatbread and then, never got back to my guest to refuse that request...she just delivered it without the artichoke on it. The deviled egg special of the day was tasteless and VERY unimpressive. My sandwich (chicken ciabatta??) was tasteless and awful. The only good dish was the mussels. I thought the lunch was mediocre at best and will not be returning to your over-priced and "bad food" restaurant.
The food was not tasty. We ordered the lamb chops as an appetizer and they were cooked and seasoned well. I decided to order the rack of lamb as my entree. The lamb was not seasoned or cooked properly. I will probably not return as the service was not great. Our waiter could not even ope. The bottle of wine we ordered. Friends stated that this restaurant was top notch. My experience was not one I wish to repeat.
I do not know where this place gets the reviews that it does. The pictures of the terrace are deceiving and the food was below par. When looking for a lunch spot I prefer not to be next to a Walgreens. Outdated and overrated.
