We should have left when we saw how dirty the entrance doors were. The food was fair. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp, an expensive lunch for $22, and had high expectations. I was served three romaine leaves sprinkled with shaved Parmesan , a few store-bought crackers, and 4 small shrimp. After I questioned the waiter about the very skimpy salad, the manager brought 2 more small shrimp without comment. We will not return.
Salmon raw when asked for medium. The salmon was undercooked the last 3 times we ordered. We told the manager about this before ordering the last time. Sad a good restaurant is declining. We were a once a week customer and now don’t plan on returning. No apology was offered, just a surly look.
Pasta was not fresh. Used artificial whipped cream
We’ve been coming here for 15 years long before they even had a covered patio and buffalo meatloaf was the star on the old menu. When they hired a new chef the classic menu did change drastically (in our opinion not for the better) and the front customer service acts very unfriendly each and every time we come in, treating us like it’s a burden that we are there and we have kids. All in all it’s just disappointing compared to the way it was. If you are new it will be an occasional date spot, but nothing we’ve had on the menu... read more
We were very disappointed when we arrived on time for our reservation and we were told we needed to wait 30 minutes while people behind us in the same size group were seated. This had been one of my favorite restaurants and I never had this situation before.
The service was average at best. They were short staffed and didn't have a greeter. We had an attentive server, but when my wife got her salad with a piece of salmon, the salmon was raw in the middle. She sent it back, and it came back with part of it still raw. She ate the edible part and we told the server. The manager came by and ultimately took it off the bill.... but still had an attitude with us.
After we were seated and placed our order, we waited over 40 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile 2 tables were seated in the meantime (a single and a 2 top) right next to us. They ordered, received their drinks, salads and entree's 10 minutes before us. And, they ordered the same thing we did! Once the food did arrive, it was bland and thrown together. Very disappointing. Terra Terroir is Terra Terrible.
Business response:
Dear John: We are sorry that this was your experience. We shared your review with the staff to look further into how this mismanagement could have happened. We all hope you will consider returning and giving us a second chance because this is not a normal reaction we receive. Thank you taking the time to point it out and we will do betterby you if you return.
The heated patio was too cold, the place was nearly empty, food and wine bla.
The hostess, the Burrata, and the charred brussels were excellent. Everything else was ho hum to plain bad.
