It was our wedding day. We decided last minute to have dinner before leaving town for the weekend. We chose butchers cut for our wedding day dinner. We decided to order the trio because it had steak lobster mashed potatoes and shrimp. We sat in the middle of the street which was nice and away from the sidewalk which was very busy. One of the worst filet steaks I've ever had. A medium rare steak should not look brown when you cut it in half. The taste was like tasting the grill it was cooked on.. With no tourists in town you should know that when you can get a table anytime when other restaurants are completely booked (by local's) it's a clear sign locals don't go there as the food is bad. Food was delicious. Need improve on service. About quantity of food on appetizer was very poor. Need improve too and need something original.
We had crab dip, pork belly appetizer, veal ravioli, lobster ravioli, filet mignon, and the porterhouse. Everything was good except for the steaks and drinks considering it was a steak house. The service took so long and she kept forgetting our order. It took almost 20 mins just to get a menu. All in all we paid about 600 bucks and would not return.
The charcuterie board and grilled octopus was perfect and delicious. The tomahawk steak I ordered was bland and had very little taste. It was closer to Applebee’s quality than what I would have expected for the price or from a place called the Butcher’s Cut. It was woefully disappointing and really let me down.
Due to Covid i do expect that restaurant experiences will be different; however, I would never accept any excuse for poor service. I ordered a Filet Mignon and received it with a very long human hair. Like anyone with this experience, I reported it to my server who took it away. Steak was well cooked and delicious, sides were average. Crab cakes were subpar, onion rings were same as fast food. Good potential but the sides have to have the bar raised.
Although I said we were celebrating a bday and no one else was in the entire restaurant, they riding even acknowledge the birthday boy. The food was for the most part bland. My meat seemed to be cooked more medium well than medium and it was bland at best.
I went there for Valentine's Day dinner, with reservation. Sat at three different tables because they were so wobbly the glasses kept falling over. The restaurant was obviously oversold and understaffed. Had to ask for our food multiple times. Food was mediocre at best.
