This review is strictly for the memory care unit at The Colonnade. The scores I think would be much higher if she had been in assisted living as planned. [name removed] and head of nursing services were excellent as was [name removed].
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. [name removed], the office administrator is particularly helpful but she should have an assistant. There have been problems with medications being refilled in a timely manner which is frustrating when the cost for medication management is 600 monthly. Also, the billing department failed to input the auto withdrawal for the monthly charge correctly and then billed us [fee removed] in late fees that they have not removed. My loved one wasn't happy here, as there were times my loved one's trash or laundry wasn't being pick up. The food wasn't as good as my loved one would have hoped for. There could have been more attention to detail in preparing the menu. The staff communication was good with the family and our loved one when we had questions.

The friendliness of the staff was good except for administration who were unresponsive

During this, the absolute worst month and a half of my life, I was dehumanized, screamed at by CNA's (they screamed at e... read more
Initially I was very pleased. We were very encouraged with the admissions process and everybody that helped us. But it took an unfortunate turn, and I was left with a lot of questions about the care that was being provided.
The Colonnade is a top notch community; it's small and very personable. What really stands out is the general attitude of the people there, its great!
