Just for two nights and never again it was not clean. location was great, the rest was boaring
Historic hotel w/ character & quirks. Restaurants/room service closed unexpectedly during stay. The bathroom door handle was very hard to turn and "locked" us in, the air conditioning in our room was not very cold, the bedroom door didn't shut completely (lack of privacy), and there is a very tiny sink area in the bathroom. All of that would have been acceptable, due to the age of the building. What was not acceptable was that the restaurants closed early both nights we were there. It was a great location but would not stay here again. It’s way too outdated It’s outdated needs a serious renovation. The tub was rusty the shower curtain was gross. The cabinets were chipped. The location was great and center to everything
Disappointing It was an old building so we understand, but it smelled dank and putrid in the hallway we were in. The wallpaper was peeling, walls banged up, and a general musty/dusty smell in the room. The location, view, history, and staff were all great. Comfortable bed with spacious room and bathroom.
Other than the location, I would not recommend staying at this property. Also, the breakfast restaurant left much to be desired both on food quality and in staff regarding service. All were pleasant, just poorly trained, and not at all careful about the orders. Good location for us. Property needs renovation. The tub didn’t drain after showering and the toilet ran constantly.
