Waste of money- crumbling Congress Room dated, dirty linen, not clean, terrible breakfast- cold, terrible customer service great location

Glad for the experience but wouldn’t recommend it. Arrived in our rooms has no air-conditioning, offending help, so they changed it to a new room which was more like the description of what we paid for on booking.com. But we had a haul our own luggage, and found that room to only be a few degrees cooler. All of this during the middle of the night. I like the location of the hotel being close to Millennium Park and other such areas. The concierge‘s did a good job of helping us get parking and how to navigate the city a bit.
Fair The fact that we almost got kicked out of our rooms for laughing. When we got to our room to use the bathroom the sink was clogged up. The spot was convenient
Very disappointed Parking! Wish before booking I would be inform the the congress hotel didn’t have parking, that’s inconvenience also the “parking offered by hotel staff is a PUBLIC PARKING $47 doors a night and because it’s a public parking we couldn’t find parking and we had to walked four blocks with out suitcases. I like haunted hotels the employee wrote room 1024 on our key when it was really room 1026 it is a haunted hotel
Poor First of all, the hotel didn't seem clean. It seemed like construction was going on and it was dusty. Second, I paid for Lakeview room but I was given a room in 4th floor, no lake view and it was so noisy. Third, the booking.com states that the hotel has a garage for parking on site , but this is wrong. The garage was public parking and they charged me for almost 3 nights instead of 2 nights. Very convenient. Good thing dunken is around the corner. Struggling to charge phone. Bathrooms outdated. Water in tub after shower never went down. How does staff clean tub snd not notice. Shower head in one room does not dispense enough water and has no indicators of how to use. It took so long for hot water to come out I thought it was turned the wrong way and finally in this day and age charging your phone would be nice.
