I'm very disappointed in the service that we had at this restaurant. We were recommended to try the fish tacos here by a local and had high expectations coming in;However the meal and service delivered way below expectations. After we ordered the food it took over 40 minutes to deliver the food. We had some chips and salsa during the wait. The chips were bland and stale with little to no salt on them. This is a great little spot, located right on the beach. There are a good number of tables, mostly with umbrellas, which helps with the sun. We had beer and nachos. The beer is reasonably priced, and the chicken nachos were very good. We liked the spicy cheese that was on them. Definitely worth a stop for the views and decent food and drinks. Place has a great view of the beach and a wonderful atmosphere. Came here to grab a drink and had the dirty mermaid which was both colorful and tasty. I would have it again. Very convenient to sit at the bar and watch the waves crash on the beach.
Its ok - nothing great but not many options to eat on the ocean mid island. If you are staying next door at the Marriott, the prices certainly are better than if you eat at the hotel - and the food is better. Take the 2 minute walk and save yourself some scratch for a slightly better meal.

The Dunes House fixed a major obstacle I faced during my time in Hilton Head. I stayed at a nearby resort, but the first day I was there I found the service at said resort to be abysmal and the food to be mediocre. I discovered the Dunes House within walking distance and this place became my go-to dining option during my time on the island. The food was fresh, the drink selection was great and the service was always fantastic. While some may complain the menu was small, this is clearly as case of quality over quantity.
Beach quick stop without being quick, right on the beach with patio seating first come first serve. - fish tacos are great though.
