The place was pretty good. I had the fish tacos with chips and salsa and it was good. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals too. The live music they have on certain nights was a great bonus and the location was great right on the beach. The service was okay, and the only bad thing was the bathrooms weren't so great. So overall it was a good place to go on a night out on the beach, just "go" before you go.
Friendly service, tasty drinks and yummy food right on the beach ! You can't ask for more. The fish tacos are delicious, they are a must try, my trick is to flip the seasoning side down into the taco

The best fish tacos ever! The location was perfect to enjoy the fish tacos and a few Coronas! From our table in the deck/patio, we had a beautiful view of the beach and with the breeze, it was perfect. My kids ate the BBQ sandwich and a hamburger. The staff was super friendly and I would recommend this place to everyone who visits Hilton Head island, SC.

Love the food and atmosphere! They need to ditch the band! Fish tacos, burgers, and now chicken tacos are great, and you can't beat a beach bar and restaurant! We own some villas in the area and frequent The Dunes House. While we love live music, their choice of entertainers is sub par to other restaurants on the island. They do more talking than singing and are not funny. I don't care for being made fun of while I am enjoying dinner on the ocean. Get a new entertainer and it is 5 stars!
The Dunes was a perfect place to take a midday break from the harsh South Carolina sun and enjoy a couple cold ones and some delicious seafood. We were pleasantly surprised that what seemed to be the only beachfront restaurant in Palmetto Dunes was this good! The fish tacos here were prepared to perfection and my girlfriend and I just loved the triggerfish sandwich. Great location, great food, and great atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to walk off the beach and grab a bite to eat, look no further!
No idea what's going on with the seating situation. There's a line, but no set hostess or direction. It's pretty packed Friday afternoon. I think, because it's right next to the Marriott resort, everyone comes here for lunch after morning at the beach. Their Lava Flow frozen drink is VERY much like the one you can get in Hawaii. Their chicken nachos were great! They're great, but they've got to get some uniformity and order.
Delicious.. if you love fish sandwiches then you have to order the blackened trigger fish sandwich.......it was off the chain!!!!
went for lunch. family place with inside/outside bar. beachside. nice menu all cooked to order. staff friendly. I had trigger fish sandwich which was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. my son had the blackened burger; he was happy with it. My only issue is the water. come on man...Hilton head tap is awful and they use it make the soft drinks and the water service. Maybe even the ice. yuck! a simple water filter goes a long way.
