We love the Dune's House!!! Such an easy and local dinner. Great lobster and crab specials on Monday and Wednesday nights. Great for kids too! Live music is awesome! Also an amazing view of the beach. Nikki, Mike and JJ gave us amazing and personalized service. The bar tenders are the best.. Dunes house is best bang for your buck. Will keep coming back for years.
After reading multiple glowing Google and Yelp reviews about this place, we were excited to try it. We called several times to ask if there was a wait and no one ever answered the phone. We decided to drive over and give it a try anyway, but were VERY rudely turned away by the resort gate security. They were practically laughing at us, saying that of course this wasn't a public establishment and we couldn't eat there if we weren't staying at the resort. Satisfying traditional American food . Very family-friendly and right next to the beach, perfect for those who live nearby. Most nights it seems to have live music. Decent prices and nice variety of fun drink selections.
Great place on the beach in Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Bead Island. We accessed it from the beach (marker 83). Chef Streete does a great job. The fish tacos were excellent. Loaded nachos were over the top. Definitely the go to place for a beach lunch or dinner.
The proximity to the beach is the lure for the wayward beach goer. We have been coming to the island for the past 30 years and since this little jem popped up it is our lunch go-to when on the beach. The Dune House Fish Tacos are our favorite. The California Turkey Wrap was good too with a generous portion of Turkey.
Waited 30 mins to sit, granted that's not the problem. We actually never sat to eat. We noticed while waiting that several guests had their dogs with them, fine. One guests dog would not stop barking and was asked to leave, at which point an argument ensued between staff, several guests and this one guest. Seems like the alcohol started to take over in a few people so we decided to leave since we were with 2 small children. You must try this place! Walked on the beach to have delicious drinks, great service and amazing fish tacos! Can't wait to go back. Closes at sunset! Hurry and get there now!
One of our favorite spots on the Island, since it is a few pedals by bike away, or a short jaunt on the beach as well. Stopped in after a day exploring other fine beaches in and around Hilton Head. I ordered the blackened burger w/chips while Linda got the fish taco's. Both were served within minutes and both came out hot. (Wish some of the restaurants on Yelp followed the way establishments on the island seem to get the food to the table hot!)
