We basically went here because it is located right on the beach and we were able to ride our bikes there from the Omni - so it was super convenient when we were looking for something close and casual. Seating on the deck was nice and very comfortable. The service was a little slow but they could of been short staffed when we were there. I have been coming to hh for years and the dunes house has just gotten better and better. The bartenders are super friendly and the food is great. Love the shrimp tacos!!

This is not a restaurant you'd seek out when on the island, but if you're on the beach and you want to listen to some music, enjoy the sound of the ocean and sip a cocktail, this is a great place. It's outdoors and closed if there is a wedding. On some nights there is special food like burgers, low country boil, etc. One day they may even serve sweet tea and serve fresh shrimp but for now no sweet tea and shrimp comes from NC.

Beach front chill joint -- excellent! We stayed with family in a near by condo and this place was the hangout. While the girls were gossiping and napping by the beach we were having some beers overlooking the beach and water. It was most excellent.

Great end of the day beach bar.....fish taco was really yummy and service was great. A sweet one man band in the background was cool and didn't interrupt conversation. The burger was loaded with fresh crisp veggies and a simple side of chips. Very tasty. Shrimp tacos.....meh. Parking convenient.

Great food and drinks, the burger i had was tasty and the smoothie was delicious. It was really close to my spot on the beach. I will be going there again when I'm at the beach.

Good food with an even better location. While the food was alright, the beer was cool, not cold, which is a major turn off. The menu may appear to lack in depth (no side items, just chips) but if it was any larger, The Dunes House would lose it's convenience and overall "causal lunch" feel. I defiantly recommend this place for easy lunch right off the beach.

This locals bar and grill is right on the beach. You can get the best shrimp tacos, burgers, and hotdogs with a gourmet twist. Some local and imported beers. It is very causal in dress and people often bring dogs and kids right off the beach for a bite before going home. Good to stroll out and watch the sunset.

This is a wonderful beachfront restaurant with as friendly a staff you could ask for ! Soak up the sun while having a relaxing bit to eat, The menu isn't large but I have tried just about every item and all were fresh and cooked to perfection. This is one of the nicest spots on the Island. Hip- Hip!
