I provide independent training at this establishment. I can only say that of all the nursing homes I attend in the country, this is the cleanest home I have ever seen. The staff are attentive to the residents/patients. They hold entertainment of all forms every day, they even have a library visiting and changing the books on a regular basis. I also found the nurses who I train are passionate about their jobs and most have been working there over five years. Some have been working there twenty years. Brilliant home.!!

Mum was only with The Lodge a few weeks, but from what we saw, all the staff were kind and friendly. They made us welcome, and were very kind to Mum. It is a lovely Care Home.

My mum was at The Lodge Care Home in Exeter for approximately 7 weeks for end of life care. I can’t rate Debbie Skinner and the team of nurses, carers, and auxiliaries highly enough. They made a very difficult and sad situation so much easier due to the care and support my dear mum received as well as support for myself. The rooms are beautiful, the place is immaculate and the food is superb. Both staff and residents are happy and nothing is too much trouble. Thank to all there; I will miss you all.

My wonderful Dad was brought to The Lodge at a point in his life when he needed some extra help. I cannot recommend the place and staff enough- from Debbie the manager to every nurse and carer we encountered- we were nourished and comforted spiritually and physically every step of the way. Wonderful empathetic and highly skilled team. No words to describe the journey we have had guided by these amazing humans. For someone who has worked in healthcare for many years, I have learned an awful lot. Grateful thanks xxx Catrin xxx
