We take a lot of pride in satisfying all of our guests. The Oar offers beautiful scenery and provides a fun entertaining atmosphere. Outside dining was an enjoyable experience erbut, from the looks of it, indoor dining would be less comfortable (and very noisy because of the 'vibrant bar scene'). We look on it as a good weather treat.
we have been here before. very enjoyable spot for dinner or drinks outdoors by the water. food is good, but experience is definitely about eating waterside. make a reservation. friends of ours were quoted a 3 hour wait on a saturday w/o a reservastion.
Always a treat-the view, the food, the atmosphere. A neighborhood favorite!
The Tuesday lobster fest was terrific!!! Always a treat to get an outdoor table. An all time favorite.
We especially enjoyed the sun setting during our dinner. The casual atmosphere makes dining enjoyable.
Get some outdoor fans for the heat!
Five different entrees were very good. Great for causal, fun times. Not so good for quiet, romantic dinning.
As always The Oar treated us very well. Good things I would suggest are the lobster club , the lobster salad with an amazing fruit platter fit for a king and the chilean sea bass. Something I wouldn't order again was the ceviche..but that is my personal preferance.
