Located in Northern California’s Mendocino County there is a skunk running through the redwood forest, but this isn’t any skunk, it’s the world famous Skunk Train. The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.

This was a very enjoyable trip!
I was a great family moment great view great employees. In my opinion ride time should be longer for what it cost specially for people like me. Drove 3-1/2 hours to the train. Thanks
We had a great time on the rail bikes! Remember to bring your lunch and beverages - there is a good break once you have entered deep to the woods. We will definitely do this again!
The rail bikes are a great adventure and would recommend to anyone. Guides were professional and the trip scenically beautiful. One up on Disneyland.
Great staff, clean train, fun ride. Good for all ages, I took a little and big kid. Good snacks at decent prices and was a very interesting trip. Took the Wolf Tree Turn ride. Worth every penny!
My family and I departed from Willits, and the experience was amazing. The beautiful scenery of redwoods were breathtaking. The front of the train was very open and fun place to ride/stand however, the seating in the area with the concession was a nice place to sit. We attended the Easter express and over all was a great experience and would recommend. My only complaint is when we got to the Crowley destination for an Easter wonderland, I wish that time staying there was longer than 30 minutes. Fun time and they allow dogs!
An excellent ride along a wildlife zone full of life and beauty. While hard to hear for me, the historical highlights were pointed out by dedicated staff who embraced every fact they were able to share and I was able to read about in the many publications about the train. We were fortunate to have ideal weather and stayed outside on the observation car for the entire trip. What added to it for us was the dog friendly nature on the train and at the many stops we made in Ft Bragg. Can’t wait to go back.
It was enjoyable and relax ride.
Highly recommend the rail bikes. 28 Miles and totally worth it. We detailed 4x (which isn’t normal) but still had an amazing time.
