My aunt has terminal cancer, but it’s not “major” at the moment (she can still do stuff herself or with family help), but we wanted hospice. She was with Three Oaks for about seven months. Obviously, being in hospice that long isn’t common, but her body is still fighting. And, because of the time, I feel she would stick out to her nurse. I think the biggest issue was the lack of communication/follow-up during that time. For example, when my aunt started going downhill just recently, my mom and I asked her nurse if she could... read more

I am very disappointed in the care my sister received from Three Oaks Hospice. When a prescription caused an allergic reaction the doctor said, just let her finish. I had to beg to get her cleaned regularly and no one ever cleaned her nails unless I brought it up. She was not given the extra care she needed before she passed. That is the fastest response we got was after she passed.

My father stayed there on a Respite stay. Fell second day he was there He was a dementia patient. I feel he did not get the proper care while there. My brother found him sitting in a common area soiled and very in coherent. When he left several of his items were not packed. I had to be the one to reach out to staff about his personal property. We did get them back thanks dad has since deceased.

Choosing Three Oaks for hospice care for my dad was the worst decision I ever made and will regret forever. The intake nurse did not even take his vitals and did not make arrangements for any medical equipment or meds. Our regular nurse, who came 1x a week for maybe 10 mins, made arrangements for supplies to be delivered but it took over 3 weeks which by that time we were no longer with Three Oaks. Each time I called it took hours to get a return call and then when I did I was usually told to give my dad morphine no matter w... read more

It may be too soon but I would not recommend this hospice group. I asked for fentanyl patches that never came. The nurse was nice but did not spend enough time with the patient. I called late on a Sunday and was told my the on call nurse she would call back, she never did. They tell you not to call 911 but after a fall, I was told to call 911 for a lift assist. I did not know that I could do that, it was not in the literature that I reviewed. It just seemed like once they got you as a patient communication stopped. They were... read more

This is the hospice company that we picked for my dad prior to his discharge from Baylor Hear Hospital in Denton. We called for an overnight nurse to come tend to our dad due to some symptoms that were affecting his normal baseline. Paschal deemed us too far for him to come. He passed us on to a colleague that never reached out to us. Jane (Patient Care Manager), blamed not getting back to us as her attending a doctors appointment. Margaret (Nurse Manager) was too little too late with the sympathy. I would not recommend this... read more

We selected Three Oaks Hospice based on the recommendation of the social worker at Charlton Methodist Hospital and our meeting with Kristine their representative. Kristine was extremely helpful and I really appreciate that. Where Three Oaks fails is their lack of ability to provide their patients with medication. Everyone tells you they use a “third party pharmacy” and “their third delivery service”. If this were my company I would terminate my contract with this “third party pharmacy” and find a pharmacy that can deliver me... read more

This was the worst experience and at the most difficult time of our lives. My mother was to be transported from the hospital to the Vintage for the remainder of her life. The much needed pain medicine for Stage 4 lung cancer was supposed to be transferred there before she arrived. It didn’t. My mother was in severe pain the last two hours of her life. The hospice nurse that met us there, immediately left saying she had a family emergency. Becky Bugsbie completely lied about what was going to happen. Everything we discussed d... read more

I'm really not sure where the 5 star reviews generate from for Three Oaks, because this place is the worst. From making deliveries a day too early (we just happened to arrive home right before), to the initial intake nurse not listening (as a result the wrong dose of morphine was on the order) to our assigned nurse being basically non responsive with texting or phoning. The experience was an entire mess. In fact, the day before I had to transfer my Mom to inpatient hospice, the nurse was supposed to order supplies and meds.... read more
