Believe the reviews! It happened to us too. My daughter went to 3 sessions with the only clinician that was "in network" with my insurance. They billed through another clinician that was out of network so that I was charged 5x's more than my copay. I've called about this 3 times now and they keep saying someone will contact my insurance, correct the billing and refund my account but no one has. In fact, I got charged another random charge! Find a legitimate practice, Thriveworks is definitely not one!
They make it nearly Impossible to cancel your membership (only by phone). They claim to answer 80% of their calls within 5 minutes, that is a blatant lie. I have used their "call back" feature and never received one. The only thing they have been able to do consistently Is bill me. DO NOT use them.

They charged me for a counseling session 6 months after I had it. They prey on vulnerable people like me and drain our bank accounts. Literally go to another counselor

I've been calling Thriveworks billing department to fix my insurance billing again and again over the past 2 months. They give you nice platitudes each time, saying they are fixing it, but THEY NEVER DO. Don't waste your time with these jokers.

My experience was much like the long, long string of other reviewers here. My first therapist was terrible, completely out of touch with even the most absurdly basic realities of the type of anxiety I was dealing with. Okay, it happens. So, I tried another. Please please do not use thriveworks. The continue to screw up my billing. I’ve talked to the customer service reps 5+ times and asked to speak with a supervisor 4 times. Each time “no supervisor are available but someone will call you back”. Never received a call. Between calling thriveworks and my insurance company I’ve been on hold for hours. I'm not sure what is wrong with this company but I'm pretty sure they are a scam. I should have known the subscription they want to automatically subscribe you too when you make an appointment was a red flag. I initially made an appointment and then learned that money would be automatically taken out of my account for any remaining balances. Absolute trash. Charged random large amounts for each session after saying insurance would cover it, then blamed the insurance company saying they set the prices…?? Takes FOREVER to get anyone on the phone and they just give you the run around. As so many other reviews have stated, this place is basically a scam profiting off people in need. For some reason there is not a child counselor who will actually show up for their patients. Two counselors this week decided that not showing up is okay.
