AAAA++++ I have dealt with 4 different lenders in the last year. Suntrust by far has been the best. They know what they are doing, they have patience, they are creative and able to see solutions. Not only that but they made me feel like I, as an individual, was important to them.
Tim was honest and very professional. He was always responsive to my calls and emails. His good faith estimate was very clear and the overall fee was very reasonable. The mortgage rate that I got from Tim for a high-balanced loan (> $600k) was simply excellent and without hidden or added costs (e.g., origination fee). Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic response - We received the loan pre-approval letter within 4 hours.The rate and conditions (no points) were very good.Tim was excellent through the entire loan application as well as the closing process; always available; knowledgeable; honest. His assistant Donna was great too. Time zone difference was never an issue (Tim is in MD we are in CA) - he works LOOONG hours.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Tim was superb all the way through the entire purchase process. From his quick initial response to my request for a quote on Zillow right up until loan closing, he was helpful, honest, and unfailingly easy to reach. Tim works late into the night, and would frequently respond with a prompt phone call to an e-mail I sent him at 9 or 10 PM. Our experience with Tim was great. We got quotes for a Jumbo conforming loan from Zillow, a mortgage broker, and 3 other local mortgage lenders. Tim (Sun Trust) gave us the best rate at the lowest points. We needed to close relatively quickly (4 weeks) and wanted to have the house under our trust. Both worked out without a problem. Best lender for Jumbo loans! The process went smooth, Tim put an extra efforts when required (at my own guesstimated point of time!) to lock the rates working long hours on Friday - priceless!!! Very accomodating team is helping him during the process. A+++
Tim was pleasant to deal with at first when getting rates and explaining costs, but that's about all that he was good at. Once in the phase of gathering documentation and other materials, Tim and his team gave radio silence. They did not respond to repeated calls and texts and emails over a period of three months. There was absolutely no meaningful update in my refinance application and only when I wanted to withdraw my application did they respond. I would definitely not recommend. Smoke and mirrors operation!
