We (me & my wife) just closed with Tim Sutherland/SunTrust and we are very happy with the whole process. We initially chose Tim / Sun Trust for obviously the low rates. We are first time home buyers and many other lenders were not giving us credit for closing costs. We did have our doubts on working with lender in East Coast and we being in West Coast(Bay Area). I didn't know what to expect with regard to mortgage lenders. I have to say Tim sets the bar mighty high. He always answered my calls and emails within minutes. Tim's staff are extremely professional and responsive as well (obviously it's a culture they all embrace). The rates and fees are the best I found anywhere. It's all about trust, integrity, professionalism and a great deal - a prescription for success on both ends!

Despite being in a different state working with Tim went very well. I can't imagine his customer service being any better. He quickly responded to emails and usually answered his phone within 2 rings. The rest of his team also responded to emails and phone calls very quickly. I asked a lot of questions as a first time home buyer and Tim patiently explained them all to me. Tim has been super responsive all along, considering that we were first time home buyers we had ton of questions but Tim has always been patient in answering them.Ours was a short sale and we had to close in a short amount of time, but we were able to complete the loan process ahead of schedule. The whole process was very smooth.I would highly recommend Tim.

We were initially apprehensive about working with a lender across the country. However, he was extremely helpful, always available, and worked well with our real estate agent. It didn't hurt that he offered the best rate either.
