I'm done with Brother machines. This OEM cartridge messed up my printer This toner cartridge is OEM, genuine Brother, but apparently it's junk. My printer told me the toner was low in October, so I ordered a new one. I am a lawyer and can't have my printer down. Refuses to print with plenty of toner The no toner alarm seems to based on the number of pages printed which leads to the printer refusing to print even where there is significant amounts of toner left.
Brother product support is poor I bought a black & white all-in-one and a brother color printer for my small business about two years ago. I just recently replaced the starter toner in both units. The issue isn't so much the product as it is the service. So my B&W printer was giving me a low toner warning so I bought the backup B&W HY toner cartridge. Prints with streaks, drum cannot now be cleaned I bought this original Brother toner cartridge because the knock-offs tend to get bad reviews. However, this cartridge causes streaks on every page, no matter how many times I clean the drum. The drum now seems to be ruined, too, and the return window passed a month ago. Rather than getting reliable printing, I now have to either replace the drum or the whole printer. Do not buy this.
Cartridge Yield The last two cartridges have only yielded 6110 and 5934 pages.
Slow delivery Update when used the product seems old. Will not order again. Product is fine but 3 weeks for delivery of office supplies (toner cartridge) is not acceptable. Good thing it was replacing my spare.
FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING There is no way that I got 8,000 pages , or anywhere close to that amount , as advertised. All I print are simple text documents, like statements and the like. No high-coverage areas, solids, shadows, etc. on any regular basis at all. I hope Brother's butt get sued over this one of these days.
Puts toner all over the page After watching a gradual degradation of printing (occasional blobs, blotches, and a gray background), I finally opened it up and started cleaning the unit. The big silver roller (transfer roller?) was covered with toner. Despite the great difficulty in getting in getting it to revolve, I cleaned it as least once, but the roller kept coming up covered in toner. First one lasted 5 months. Second one lasted one week. The first one we got worked great, as advertised. However, the second dried up in a week. Our printing habits did not change. :(
