Totally *******me, never sent letters of variable rate change, doubled my bill for absolutely no REASON. Welcome to late stage capitalism people. Where energy companies don't send notices and you have ZERO legal action you can take in response. This is criminal to do to people during a pandemic. Don't ever USE THEM
This company is so terrible & the ppl who work for them have no conscience whatsoever. They come to your door & lie straight to your face. They prey on the the less fortunate, elderly, & ppl with disabilities. They tell you your rates are about to go up every 2 months unless you sign up for a rate cap with them. LIE They take your account number & sign up for some bogus account with them charging you DOUBLE kWh as your previous company. They need to be stopped. Scam of a company they almost doubled my electric bill for 4 months then when I call and complain they cancel my bill and say I won't see it on my next bill. Then next bill shows up and still the same. Call and want to know why they lied to me again and get it was "false information not a lie" and here is a 25 dollar gift card for the 500 dollar we scammed you out of. Worst company ever! I was lied to by a sales person. He said I could try it for a year and it would cancel in a year if I didn't renew it. Well it didn't cancel it went month to month and my rate tripled. PPL let me know I had to cancel so I did, Tomorrow energy said it could take up to 2 months for the billing cycle to return to PPL another lie... PPL said it would take 3 days. I spoke with these people about a year ago because I started seeing them on my electric bill. When I called the girl tell me they switched companies and that bge hasn't given them the payments so they can't close my account with them until they receive the payments from bge and once they do the account would be closed because she made a note in the account. Guy came here on the 27th talked me into signing up ... got a email 1 day later stating "You have a 3-day right of rescission after receiving our welcome package pursuant to Maryland regulation. " Called them up on the 30th and they tell me i waited to long to cancel ?? how am i suppose to cancel something if they switch stuff before hand? shady shady people

I was told last year that there would be no charge for switching to another company within the last 30 days of my contracted time. Today I called to give notice of a switch in companies. It is less than 30 days until my expiration date. I was told I would be charge $75 for cancelling. This is not okay.
