The food was terrible. Four of us had 4 different dishes, and they were uniformly terrible. Veal piccata- dry and tasteless; seafood ravioli - salty and tasteless; salty terrible meatballs and meat sauce. Food is overpriced and terrible. The restaurant was crowded, but really??? The food was so bad I used the mouthwash in the bathroom to remove the taste of the terrible food.
We had a 6:15 reservation for an 8 pm show at Carnegie hall. We arrived on time to find the place in total chaos. It took 10 minutes just to check in. We were seated upstairs and promptly forgotten. After flagging down several waiters a manager finally took our order. Several tables around us were seated later and served before us. The food was not very good. My chicken Parmesan was just ok. A HUGE portion, but dry and just not great. I won't be back.
A lot of our food was cold when it came to the table. Lobster pasta dish - lobster was dry. Lasagna Bolognese dry. Veal parmigiana was actually pretty good. Pizza dead cold like it died two days ago. Disappointed to say the least. This place is always packed we bring clients here and this was the type of service we got very poor
The decor is tired, and in desperate need of a facelift, and the food is disappointing and overpriced. Don't even think about ordering anything but pasta, pizza, or a standard Italian dish. My salmon was dry, tasteless, and overpriced. If we weren't rushing to a show I would have sent it back. Note to self: Never again.
Food is precooked and came out cold. Tourist trap with fake Italian food.
The food is pedestrian and served sloppily. The prices do not reflect the lack of quality nor taste
We have been going here for years, but the place has changed. The food is barely adequate and gets served too quickly. We were served 3 courses in about 30 minutes and really felt rushed. My wife and I ordered a dish to share and in the past the kitchen divided it for us. The waiter told us they would not do this.
