I was seated all the way in the back of an empty restaurant. The waitress was not friendly and did not check up on the table enough, my water glasses and sodas went on empty and never got refilled. The food was good, but not note-worthy. We were not offered a dessert menu and we just asked for the check straight away to leave. The other patrons were clearly catered to more and with more enthusiasm. i wouldn’t recommend this place other than to take pictures because the decor is nice.
I haven’t been to Trattoria dell’Arte in several years and was looking forward to it because of the food and the ambience. I was very disappointed in the food, though, which seems to be more expensive than before. A Caesar salad was drowning in dressing, and the lasagna Bolognese looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours. It was dry and had very little cheese in it. We made reservations and order a cocktail before dinner and were advised we needed to order our food immediately because the kitchen was about to close. They shouldn't take reservations if they will not be able to provide an enjoyable experience. Disappointing since we've been there every time we visit NYC
I came many times. Appreciating the quality of food. Quality is still there but overall very disappointing as we really feel being just considering as tourists, just good to pay for a disappointing time. Quality but no pleasure. Not sure I will go again
The food was cold, the espresso was cold and the service was lousy. I've eaten here before but most likely won't go again.
Food was made before we ordered so there was no opportunity to change it (pancetta on the side , cheese, etc.). Disappointing
As always food was delicious, but the tables were so close together the wait staff could hardly get around. As a consequence service was awful. Place was packed (no COVID spacing there). It was so noisy, we passed on desert and a second glass of wine.
Super small portions and horrible service. Very overpriced.
