The restaurant was virtually empty and even with reservations they sat us (or squeezed us in) along 2-top row; so close to my neighbors table, I could have eaten off her plate. The food, subpar at best, was not worth the trip or $$$$. My chicken Milanese was so thin it was dry and looked like someone chewed it up, spit it out and they refried it. Horrible. Save your pennies and go somewhere else. Very disappointed.
They allow guests to take out their laptops and plop them on the table while they are eating! I paid $200 and felt I was at Starbucks! So un-classy for an upscale restaurant
Have come here for 10 years but it’s in decline. Made reservation for after the theatre. Got there on time. We were ushered to a table in the front right by the chill of the wintry door. Knowing there was a main dining room in the back , we asked to be seated there, away from the chill. The main dining room was nearly empty so I guess they need people seated by the cold window upfront to pretend they are busy. Waiter became immediately disinterested when we didn’t order wine and literally stopped pouring water and called the... read more
Food was cold, bland, and incredibly overpriced. Service was good.
On Sat. my sister and I treated my other sister and her husband for their 50th Anniversary, a very special affair. When we arrived at 5:30 for our reservation we were taken to a table for 4 where the waiter pulled out 2 small leaves, which was thought to be big enough for 6 people, it was not. We mentioned that there was an empty table for 6 right behind ours, but were told that it was taken. We then had to manage with our inadequate table. When we went to order, 2 members of our party ordered Osso Bocco but they were told t... read more
Very disappointing and overpriced. Scallops weren't cleaned properly and had sand on them. As New Yorkers we were hoping for a good Italian meal but turned out to be a tourist trap. If you're a native, avoid.
Rediciuosly inefficient, ineffective with service, quality and overall restaurant atmosphere. Too hot, too loud and out dated
While the meal would have been notable, not a single dish was served warm. Instead of bringing freshly cooked fried asparagus milano and other appetizers, the waiter simply had the kitchen warm them. I don't take fried food home since it doesn't heat correctly for the next day. I feel like this is what the restaurant did. Further, the lasagne was not warm. Cold lasagne is not tasty and with all the Italian restaurants in NYC, I won't go back.
Service was poor, inattentive, slow and indifferent. Waited close to an hour for food. Server never came by to explain the delay or apologize. Food was good, but not special or worth the wait. Actually this was the second time that we were there and waited an hour for food. Another server spilled coffee on wife’s coat and never said a word. Needless to say, we will not be back.
