Worst meal I have ever had in NYC. Lunch for party of four. None of the meals were correct. I sent my eggplant back for being cold. Twenty-five minutes later it came back....COLD. Dishes were undercooked or overcooked. Don't waste your time with this establishment.
The food was mediocre… I find it amazing that there are so many great reviews…
Terrible experience here as a party of 6 guests. We had 2 waiters and still 2 members of our party weren’t asked if they wanted drinks? The food was hit and miss at best the lasagne was awful just a huge slab of dry pasta. The meat dishes came with no garnish or sides just the meat on a plate. My dad had an Irish coffee which was cold black coffee with a blob of ice cream floating in it ?? The bill was £500 with added £80 tip (for what!!!) we would certainly not recommend or come back here.
Some of the hot appetizers we’re served cold and were too salty
Noisy, crowded. Every thing covered with tomato sauce. Very “American” Italian. Waiter pleasant but overworked. Won’t be back even though convenient to Carnegie Hall.
Food quality poor except bread and chocolate desert Too noisy Service poor until we complained Red sauce southern Italy food and touristy
They do a great job getting the food out, but that's the problem and too bad my appetizers came out COLD, even the housemade ravioli w/ burrata was lukewarm - reheated but not enough. What a shame. Not what it used to be Pre-Covid. Not even close. I hope Shelly Fireman pays attention, he would NOT have been happy.
We go to this restaurant every time we visit New York! This time was different and we were so disappointed. I had called ahead many weeks before to ask if I could bring flowers for the table and a cake to celebrate my daughters graduation and they said of course. The service was slow and not personable like we were use to. The most disappointing thing was when we got our bill and there was an $80 fee for cutting our cake! They charged 8 dollars for each slice of cake they had to cut. I asked them to leave the cake on the tab... read more
It is rare to complain that service is too fast but that is the case here. My wife referred to it as a factory like experience of being pushed along a conveyor belt and out he door as quickly as possible. The food was good but the price was unconscionable. $54 for Veal Milanese? It was good but, that's over the top and I live in Brooklyn, so I am not accustomed to sticker shock. And finally, the Vanilla Merengue pie was a preposterously large serving and so sweet as to be virtually inedible.
