I had been to Trattoria Dell’Arte severas times before and enjoyed the experience (rating the restaurant four and five stars). This time not. I was meeting my grown grandsons and sister and looking forward to a nice lunch together. The day was very cold so when the Maître d’ placed us in a booth near the door I raised concern as to it being cold. He assured me it would not be, as there was a heater placed above the door. Totally over rated. Way too expensive. Trashy crowd.
Meh. Expensive, loud, cramped and not especially friendly service.
Food quality no longer what it was, alas. Had not been there in a while and certainly will not go back
Normally love this place, but did not have a great experience this time. Uncharacteristically bad
Service was ok, food was expensive (especially the Antipasto Bar) and they were out of multiple items for main course
I have always enjoyed Trattoria in the past. Waiter was courteous, brought our first course quickly, and our entree within 5 minutes of our ordering! Just a pop in the microwave and voila! No effort at beautiful delicious appearance or fresh preparation. No effort at gracious dining. The prices remain high, but not the food experience.
What a dreadful experience. Noise level in the megadecibels; servers and staff frequently rushing by our table with plates, platters, trays, containers, etc. Our waiter had major attitude, manifested upon his first appearance at our table. A $100 bottle of red wine was ordered and then served in white wine glasses because "red wine glasses are not permitted".
