With the mainly positive reviews we read of the restaurant, we were expecting an entirely different experience. The prices were what you would expect, however, for the quality of the food I would have paid a fraction of the price. Our appetizers were NOT fresh at all, and were in fact re-heated from a buffet bar in the front. Our main meals were also sub-par, with my boyfriend’s carbonara sauce tasting like cardboard. Our bill was over $200 for just the two of us, having only one alcoholic drink a piece. The only positive th... read more
Ordered 2 owls of Gluten free pasta with oil and garlic. Was less than your typical side order at a real Italian place. $48. Outrageous. I'm all for making money but come on people. Ordered glass and half wine got charged $25 Really? Chicken Parm over $30. Really. 3 slices of watermelon $13. Really? Do yourself a favor if your thinking of this place - go somewhere else.
This was our last meal in NYC for our weekend trip. I have to say I walked away disappointed. I have eaten here before as part of a large group and was very pleased. We had a good waiter but the food was lacking. First they brought out bread that was more than burnt on the edges. We had to ask for a replacement. The waiter generously gave us a bottle of wine at the same price when they were out of what we requested. I ordered the popular Lobster Carbonara. The dish is supposed to come with and egg on top as described in the ... read more
During this visit, both staffing and food was fantastic . Everyone was so friendly and fun to talk to. We got there early before they were completely open, but was still welcomed in and offered a seat at the bar. Benjamin, the baro tenderdlyooo, was happy to entertain us until the restaurantm was ready to serve. The food was unique and delicious. We have I govisited this restaurant once before and plan to do so again in the future. We loved everything about it. I
Food value not good for high price.
Haven’t been there in ages - needed a restaurant near a friend’s hotel- it hasn’t aged well- food was not up to par
VERY overpriced for what you receive. My wife got spaghetti for nearly $30. It's spaghetti: $2 is what you'd expect from a box, $10 is what you'd expect from Olive Garden, $20 is what you'd expect from a decent restaurant, $30 is what you'd expect from a fine dinning restaurant. Honestly, this spagatii should've been priced around, or just below, the $2 mark. It was a small serving of noddles tossed in olive oil with two pieces of burnt artichoke on top. The spaghetti was absolutely flavorless, just carbs tossed in oil. You'... read more
Ordered veal piccata and they didn’t have any veal other than chops which I didn’t want. Had a pasta dish which was fair and also skimpy portion. My friend ordered lasagna which was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed.
Server couldn't get the order right and extremely forgetful. I ordered a Grill veal chop with mushrooms...came with a heavy sauce...not described that way. Told them of a major cheese allergy and alone side my chop was potatoes with cheese. Brought wrong desserts ordered. My veggies didn't arrive until I was done with my chop.
