I visit Trattoria every time I am in New York and it never disappoints. Classic New York Italian food, warm service and exceptional desserts.
We had a great time. Wonderful service and food was delicious. Huge portions so we all had enough for lunches the next day !

It's great advantage is easy access to Carnegie Hall. We've gone many times but never on Sat night--what a zoo and the noise level was deafening. We felt sorry for the staff. Food was good: artichokes were excellent and pizza with fennel sausage was very good as well, caesar gem salad was a bit limp. It's not cheap, but not excessive either. Recommend you avoid Sat evening or your ears may be ringing through the concert you attend after dining!
