We've dined at Cafe Fiorella's, a sister restaurant, many times. While the food is always good, the atmosphere is very lively and crowded. Yesterday was our first time dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte and we've already booked a return visit. From the minute we walked in until leaving, everything about this restaurant was great. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years on our annual visit to NYC. The quality of the food was disappointing this time.
Very crowded with many large groups so the seating was rather crowded. The service moved promptly and the food was good and served in a timely manner. I have never been here when it has been so crowded. It is the holiday season so this is to be expected. Great option when you are going to Carnegie Hall.
This is definitely my go-to restaurant in the Carnegie Hall area. The ambience is festive, the service gracious and efficient, and the food superb. I had the seafood pappardelle, which had a large variety of seafood as well as perfectly cooked pasta in a delicious sauce. Highly recommend.

We were seated at a table next to a very loud party. This was on top of the place being extremely noisy. When the lunch crowd cleared out we had trouble getting anyone's attention to get our check.
Warm welcome, great table in the middle of the restaurant. Food was delicious (chicken milanese excellent, especially when paired with a half order of simple tomato spaghetti) and we had a great evening. Our daughter (7) loved it, which isnt always the case as some restaurants see a child and instantly 'park' you in the quiet area. Others could learn a thing or two from this place on how to make the whole family feel welcome! Great find
