My go to place in the city in midtown west. Always delicious. Great light options like antipasto bar and pizzas. And the cannolis are sinful!!
Love the Tratorria. Always have, always will. Antipasto and pizza are a favorite meal.
Our family just had dinner at Trattoria Dell 'Arte after graduation at Carnegie Hall. Absolutely delicious meal, great wine, lively and knowledgable staff, fun atmosphere. My chicken parmesan was so good I could not believe it. We had a wonderful evening there. Can't wait to visit NYC again.
It was my first time dining there. It was recommended by my boss who is an avid diner. The waitress immediately asked if we had a show to catch or if there were any time restrictions. Loved that! The service was prompt and the presentation was very professional. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner and wasn't rushed at all. The waitress was aware of the time and moved our meal along at a very pleasant pace. The most impression part was the food. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. This was our 4th visit, and with each dining experience, our respect for the management, the chefs and the wait staff increases exponentially. My wife had (her traditional) Spaghetti & White Clam Sauce, which she devoured. I had the Yellowfin Tuna Steak with a Balsamic Glaze, and I can honestly report that it was the best piece of fish I've ever consumed. The pacing of the meal was perfect, too. We absolutely love this place, and for us, no trip to NYC would be complete without a meal at Trattoria Dell'Arte!
Highly recommend.
We booked this restaurant after reading reviews for an authentic Italian restaurant for a pre theater dinner. Typical NYC it didn't look like much from the outside, but it's lovely inside. We were taken upstairs to a classic red booth and immediately poured complimentary proseco. As we were reviewing the menu our waiter brought a complimentary plate of 3 antipastos. He explained that the portions were very large, which we appreciated, and so we ordered 2 entrees to share for 3 people plus the side of grilled artichokes. Perf... read more
The antipasto bar alone is sufficient reason to dine here. We could have made a full meal of the antipasti. But we're delighted we tried the ravioli and the short ribs. Classic Italian fare with great updates. Del Arte is a great place for a night with friends. If you want a quieter dinner, reserve in the smaller dining room in the back of the restaurant. Wine list has some good basics at fair prices.
The food was very good. The service was not so good. We went on a Saturday evening. The place was very crowded, noisy, and the service very slow. I believe they need more staff for those busy nights. It wasn't our waiter's fault, he tried.
