I love this place and have been frequenting for many years. Last week I brought a large group of business people some of which live outside of NYC, and everyone truly loved their meal and the festive atmosphere. This restaurant consistently has a super friendly and attentive wait staff. It was a perfect evening. Veal parmiggiana on the bone is amazing!
Service could have been better. Food was excellent.
I've been here a couple of times, but this time the wait staff was not as helpful. The service was very slow & the server was not friendly.
Took a noticeable amount of time to be seated, but that lost time was made up by how fast the food was served. We ordered and were eating within 10 minutes. Great overall ambiance which seemed to cater more towards older crowd and families.
Open late we sat at 11:30 pm. . Service got off to a slow start but our server more than made up for it. Our Pizza Margherita was cooked tho perfection.

Great food and service. We had a reservation. Were seated immediately. Waitress had great personality. Invented a drink for us and was perfect in service. Great New York experience.
It can get very crowded with pre/post theatre diners but if you've booked a table and are there for the same occasion it can be a rather pleasant experience packaged as part of your night out. I wouldn't recommend walk-ins as you will probably be seated in a very busy part of the restaurant with guests and staff bustling past without pause.
Pre concert at Carnegie on a cold winter night is a perfect time for dining at Trattoria dell’arte. The hosts and manager sat us in the area I specifically requested and our server, Julie, was outstanding. Although terribly busy she was extremely sweet and friendly, while being equally professional and attentive . Really made the dining special. As for the menu, varied and something for everyone. Quality yummy. We had the sampler, the burrito salad and the non pasta pasta. All delicious and the desserts, have one of each!
