Food & service were good. Would go again. Recommend the Halibut.
Spent a fun evening here amidst the crowd of diners. Directly across from Carnegie Hall. Well-nuanced, modernly interpreted Italian food that worked even for a non-foodie like me.c Harried but conscientious service and they took care of our every request in a professional manner. Reservations a must!
I was here 20 years ago for a celebration dinner and I was impressed then and was equally impressed again this time out as well.
The pasta and salad were superb. The service was a bit slow. Overall, an excellent pre-theatre dinner restaurant.
Staff treated us very well and we felt welcome. Food is good, but not great and severely over-priced for the quality. Tables are packed together like sardines and they literally have to move the table so you can get into your seat. For the price, you may want to check out some other nearby resturants.
I've walked by this restaurant for years, figuring that it must be a tourist trap with sub-par food given its location. I am delighted to say I've been very wrong and have been missing out! It's quite lively, the food excellent, service unparalleled. They will begin by asking if you have a curtain to make and then not make you feel rushed at all - timing everything perfectly. Sit upstairs for a little more quiet.
Our dinner for two before Joyce DiDonato's concert at Carnegie Hall was the best: the best food, best service and overall the best meal that we had (of many) in Manhattan during the entire year of 2014. Highly recommended.... and highly enjoyed!
It was a wonderful experience. Dan Rather recommended this restaurant to me a long time ago also a friend who travels to ny every year. The margarita pizza is outstanding. But the overall best thing about this restaurant is the people who work there. From the moment we walked in the door and until we left EVERY single person made our experience the best ! Thank you.
Good as usual. conistent. Perhaps an off night but still good!!!!
