My husband and I decided on Trattoria Dell'Arte because it was a Zagat rated restaurant near our hotel on Central Park South. The service was great - very personable server and maitre d' were especially welcoming. Given the reviews we were underwhelmed by the food- the 101 layer lasagna was good but came out a little cold and wasn't particularly inspiring. The tiramisu however was delicious and was a huge portion!
Great location and menu. Love the layered lasagne
Great ambience pre theater Good food Excellent server Sarah Crespo !
I have lived in the neighborhood, right around the corner from this place for over eight years. This place is a first class act and continues to impress me every time I go. The food is amazing and always consistently good, and you can tell they hire the best of the best because everybody greets you on your way out and in, regardless of whether it's the manager, wait staff, servers, or other staff members. They clearly have the ideal combined formula of top level customer service, outstanding food, excellent wine, and great N... read more
This is a good restaurant that is WAY too noisy. Too many tables too close together. Like its "partner" Fiorello's, the food is very good and the location is perfect for Carnegie Hall, but the noise level is overwhelming.
This restaurant has good food and is right across the street from Carnegie Hall, but it is WAY too noisy.
The octopus and calamari was as tender as can be. Too tough to decide which dinner was the best out of the 4, all were great. Save room for dessert or you'll be disappointed. Service was attentive and fun. We'll be back soon.
super friendly staff and quite a big place. The food was good but I thought the prices were a bit steep so would probably not come back on my own dime with all the other Italian choices in this fabulous city! $50 for veal parm? Yikes.
Entire staff was uniformly friendly & welcoming. Dishes were a little erratic: Burratta appetizer was very attractively presented, but specialty Calf's Liver alla Veniciana was rather run of the mill. Room far in the back of the restaurant was very quiet when we started an early dinner, but reached the energetic level later on. I would give a qualified recommendation.
