Wow. Just wow. We walked in and were treated to some dessert before dinner with a tray of butlered cookies. We sat in the back for my friend's bday and they brought out some complimentary champagne. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella caprese which was PHENOMENAL. We split the veal speciality - also PHENOMENAL. We couldn't fit dessert but they brought out canoli's and sang to my friend. Then they brought out pieces of dark chocolate. Oh, and on the way out, gratis shots of Lemonchello. It was amazing. I loved it. Would go back... read more

Found Trattoria Dell'Arte 10 years ago...and have returned 5-6 times when travel takes me to Manhattan. They make a clear statement by welcoming you back and it clearly works...great servers and fun environment. Food is consistently strong...not pretentious but likely to satisfy most foodies. Given all the options in Manhattan, can't go wrong with Trattoria Dell'Arte.

Trattoria Dell'Arte was everything that I desired. The moment that I entered the resturant, I was greeted as family. The food, ambience, and service all were on the mark, and the quality of the food was like I was eating at an Itallian grandmother house. My reservations time was honered. I plan on returning and trying so more of the different items

I'm a little concerned here. I love this place but the last few times I've eaten here , the service was really lacking. We were completely ignored by our waiter on one occasion. Front of the restaurant still terrific but are they short-handed in waitstaff?

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and recently booked a special lunch with two friends in town from the UK. The maitre d' was extremely accommodating, and saved us a quiet corner table near the front windows. And the service, as always, was attentive and excellent. Unfortunately, the food did not come near their usual high standards. I had described the restaurant to our friends as "the best antipasto bar in NYC" and we lunched in a leisurely way, ordering a selection of dishes to share. The fried artichokes and... read more

We went to Trattoria Dell'Arte on a Friday night and there was a $25 minimum per person. It was not difficult to reach or exceed that amount since the prices were high. The food that we ordered was very good however the portions were small for the prices paid. My wife ordered Bronzino and the two sides were extremely small. I had the Pappardelle with Eggplant Parmesan and it was a small serving. The bread delivered to the table was very good. As we subscribe to the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall we were treated to a free gla... read more

A great spot for dinner before a Carnegue Hall concert or a Broadway show. From the first greeting as you enter, to the last "thank you" as you leave, the service is impeccable. Our dinners were delicious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Veal Marsala. It was both tender and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit. Be sure to make a reservation, as the large restaurant space folks up quickly!
