The table was ready when we arrived. We were seated at the booth of our choice immediately. The table was laid out with red confetti and chocolate treats. The service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry. The pacing was perfect for a romantic evening. We were not hurried even though the restaurant was solidly booked. The maitre d checked on us twice to be sure we were comfortable. He knew we had show tickets, and made sure we finished with time to spare. Yummy Italian dinner treat for Valentine's Day. They were very busy and we felt forgotten a few times.
This place has character. Great service, delicious food and the perfect ambiance. I've been here with my mother for a glass of wine and that cracker-thin crust pizza. I've been here with my husband for a romantic dinner. It just feels like the perfect combination of friendly and welcoming, but still a little special.
the baked red snapper was excellent. The seafood papperdello (probably misspelling it) was ok. The ingredients were fresh just did not like the sauce. it was my first time trying this so it may have been more just not my taste. the bread was warm and very tasty. Our waiter was top notch. was there when we needed him but not pushy .
We chose this restaurant based upon ratings and proximity to Carnegie Hall. After an excellent Valentine's dinner, we walked across the street for our concert.
consistent high quality, beautifully presented and carefully prepared food. Relaxed, but attentive service. always a great choice, and we will be back next time we are in the area.
Always have an amazing meal here when in town. Fantastic antipasto bar, paper thin pizza and veal chops are amazing.
This place is something special. We ate here due to a recommendation, which we are grateful. The welcome was warm and sincere, with a nice element of humour. Food is very classy and up-market, some of the nicest I've had. There was a delay in my wife's food coming out but this was excluded from the bill without any issue. It in no way marred the meal. A great place to eat.
Went to this restaurant for my anniversary before seeing a Broadway show. As soon as we walked in, the service was great! About four different employees came over to great us throughout the night and to make sure everything was satisfactory. The menu is a little pricey, but the portions are well worth it. My boyfriend got the chicken parm and it was the size of a small pizza. The service was prompt so we could make our 8pm show but we never felt rushed. Definitely worth having dinner here!
