Antipasti, pizza, and dessert - all magnificent. Buratta is made daily in the restaurant so be sure to have at least one dish that contains it.
Went with a group of 7 while visiting in NYC. Those group ordered fish, beef, chicken, liver, pasta and vegetables, as well as shared antepasto. All were outstanding. Wine list was more than sufficient, with many reasonably priced selections Atmosphere and service were all outstanding. Exactly what is to be expected from a classic, traditional NY restaurant. We would return any time we visiting the city. Atmosphere was fun, not at all stuffy.
We dine here a bit and love the food and decor. The maître d always has a charming compliment for me ( and probably all the ladies) but it still makes me smile. Oh and the desserts .... The me one with merangue !!! Devine
Now I know why the menus online do not show prices. You could have a spectacular meal elsewhere at these prices. Pasta's run in the $30's and it's all up from there, for rather average Italian food. Go on expense account or someone else's treat. Staff is very nice, but at these prices I would not return; this is NYC, too many better alternatives.
We had a reservation for 9.30pm, and the place was still vibrant, loud and very "Italian"! The décor and atmosphere are very good, but loud and if you had a romantic tête-à-tête in mind, this is not the place for it. Instead, you would take your family or best friends here and you'll have a great time! The service is friendly, which suits the place, not too stiff but very correct and quick. We had a very nice waiter. The food was really good. The pizza's are great: thin but full of flavor. My chicken parmiggiano was really e... read more
Booked this at the last minute on a Sunday night... wasn't expecting much, especially given the touristy neighborhood around Carnegie Hall. Started with the house specialty of Roman/Jewish-style artichokes which were great- crispy and delicious. Had the Tagiolini al Forno and the soft-shell crab special, and both were delicious. Enjoyed a great Gaja Promis with dinner, which was a reasonable $100. But the kicker was the special service at the end- when we declined dessert, the waiter brought a few squares of a great dark cho... read more
We always enjoy ourselves at this restaurant. It has become a go to place when we are in the City. Brandon and Richard are real professionals
Surprising only becausse the restaurant is across the street from Carnegie Hall, so there are lots of tourists, which can have a negative effect. But here, we had a long, leisurely, late lunch, trying lots of antipasti. Each was wonderful -special kudos on the mushrooms! I also has continuous hours, which is great if you want to eat a late lunch, or a late dinner. Highly recommended.
Our group loved Trattoria Dell'Arte! We had a lovely welcome compete with complimentary champagne. They were most accommodating with respect to our seating preference. The service was outstanding and all of the food was delicious! Plus they got us in and out in time to make it to the theater. We would definitely go back and recommendation it to our friends.
