Having enjoyed a dinner here with a business colleague back in April 2013, I thought the good food and warm ambience would be great for a late lunch on New Year's Eve with my wife.and daughter and son-in-law. As visiting Australians there is a huge choice available in NYC, and we dined at some uber cool restaurants during our stay in the city. TD'A was just what we wanted - good Italian food including the best pizza in the city, fine entrees ( I recommend the grilled asparagus side) and great desserts. Our Irish accented wai... read more
Excellent service and food. A city scene, good for a big night out in a busting part of Manhattan. Too pricey for a family meal.
The service was excellent, the food was hearty and good, the wine list was extensive. All-in-all, a great dining experience for a special occasion.
This will be my third visit to this restaurant for dinner when in Manhattan. I will come back as often as I can. The food is so exceptional as is the service and the ambiance of this place. We dined in the Green room for the first time and the artwork on the walls is lovely. Didn't know there were rooms in the back of the restaurant and loved the Green room. The wait staff were fantastic and every part of the evening was perfect. We are always amazed at the antipasto bar choices and how fresh and delicious each item we chose... read more
Food was good, but service was spotty - waiter barely came back to check on us and we had to find him to ask for our bill and then to give him a credit card since it took so long for him to return. Is a bit loud / full of tourists too given the location.
We enjoyed the food and service but waited more than 30 minutes beyond our reservation time while it seemed that later arrivals were being seated.
Enjoyed our experience very much. Having reservations for later in the evening, called when we got out of our show earlier than expected and the Matre' D graciously moved our reservation up. Once there we were received warmly and seated shortly after arriving in spite of the place being packed... Our table was in a semi-private room, where we were taken care of exceptionally well. The food was outstanding as was the service... A great find based on a recommendation of my employer.. Buon appetite...
The food and service were awesome. Our waiter was super friendly, had us sample some antipasta and refilled our wine before we had to ask. It was a fun night in a fun place - perfect for holiday time.
My wife and I have been dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte for well over 20 years, since before our marriage. The food has been exceptional over all this time especially the various Antipasti. The service has always been superb. We live in Boston and travel to NYC several times a year. We always make time for at least one dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The design of the restaurant...the only interior by noted graphic designer Milton Glaser...maintains its charm after all these years.
