My wife and I were looking for an Italian restaurant within easy walking distance. What a gem we found in Trattoria Dell'Arte. I had the veal chop pramagana , it was cooked to perfection, with a taste to die for. The portion was quite large. My wife had a mozzarella appetizer she raved over and the seafood risotto . which she thought was excellent. The service was great with a waiter that was knowledgeable and fun !!!! We would recommend Trattoria to anyone !!!!!!
Loved how everyone was so friendly! The food was terrific. I definitely want to go back the next time I am back in New York City!
Located across from Carnegie Hall this great Italian restaurant is a great opening act. I had the sea bass was lovely. One friend ordered the veal chop. A massive cut she reported it delisous I had a glass Of Gavi. Perfect. They shared a red that was thorolly enjoyed. We split a tiramisu that was a perfect ending to our meal
we enjoyed our dinner but service was uneven and the staff seemed overwhelmed on a very busy night. The server delivered our vegetable side, kale and beans which was delicious, and warned that the dish was hot and then served the main course, veal, lukewarm on room temperature plates. I asked the waitress for pepporoncini and she said Ok and then walked away and waited on two other tables so I flagged down the matire'd fo fill the request. Fortunately we had early reservations and were not in big hurry to make curtain time. ... read more
We were visiting and happened upon this resto. Staff were very professional. Very welcoming. Food was fantastic.
My wife and I visit NYC 5 times a year and our dinner here is always a special treat. The food, the service and the atmosphere make for a tremendous evening. We typically enjoy a bottle of wine and over the course of a couple of hours enjoy ourselves. We never feel rushed, the food is always tremendous and the prices fit the experience. We especially enjoy the upstairs for seating and regularly recommend it. A very special place we always enjoy.
found this place almost by accident. excellent food. outstanding service. Warm sincere welcome. great food and for the city, reasonable pricing. the interior size is deceiving from the outside. We sampled a bit of everything and found nothing lacking. Not a food snob but I can say this was well worth the visit. certainly on our re-visit list
The antipasto was good but fully priced. The pasta poorly cooked and pasty. Disappointing. A middle of the road Italian food factory.
We have an apartment around the corner from the restaurant and have dined there on several occasions. The experience is consistently good. Wonderful food and very accomodating service. The staff goes out of its way to make the experience positive. And the antipasto bar is worth the trip alone.
