I've been eating here for years and it's always been consistently great.
I keep coming back for the antipasto and it never disappoints. One issue that i hadn't noticed before: No pizza during the dinner hour ? Seems like at these prices you could figure out how to do pizza and still get the theater crowd out on time. See you again soon !
This is my 3rd and possibly 4th time at this restaurant for personal and professional occassions. I have been greeted, every time, with enthusiasm, and made to feel very welcome. This last visit my colleagues and I were greeted by Richard who was warm and friendly, and Marco our waiter was incredibly patient as my colleagues and I had not seen each other in so long we had lots to catch up on. Marco was gracious, gave us our space, and suggested some pre dinner yummies while we continued our "lively" conversation, Our meals w... read more
We dined here for dinner after a Wednesday matinee. When we arrived at around 4:45, the place was understandably very empty. We wanted to have a drink at the bar before heading to our table. We were greeted warmly at the entrance by the staff and directed to the bar. When we were ready, the maitre'd was very eager to show us to our table and welcome us. We enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent! We would return again in the future.
Fabulous food, 4 of us shared a selection of antipasti, mushrooms, squid, caprese salad and artichokes. All good but mushrooms were outstandingly wonderful. Two soft shell crab entrees, one veal chop and the lobster linguine made us 4 happy diners. Dessert was a meringue something that was brought out for my birthday. It was delicious as well This is our go-to when visiting NY, has been for over 20 years. We always feel welcome and at home!
The food was good but overpriced for the quality. You are paying for the location in the theater district.
A last minute reservation and we were able to be seated on a fairly busy night. The Matre D was lovely - welcomed us and made us feel like we were honored guests. Food was great - pasta, salad, late night pizza and a lovely bottle of wine. Busy neighborhood restaurant near Carnegie Hall - a bit on the loud side - lots of people celebrating and having great conversation. Would prefer a little more quite atmosphere.
A wonderful dining experience, every time, and conveniently located just across the street from Carnegie Hall!
While making plans for our Anniversary trip, wedecided on Trattoria Dell'Arte based on neighborhood and a picture of one of their dishes online. It did not disappoint! It was even better than we expected it to be as well as a pasta recommended by our waitress. They brought us a glass of champagne to help celebrate. It was such a great touch! After dinner we decided against dessert because we were insanely full but our waitress brought us a little treat and another glass of champagne. It was the perfect evening.
