Excellent food, great service and overall great night! We will definitely dine here again!
We had to wait an inordinately long time to be seated with a reservation. Once seated we enjoyed the food and service.
The unique Italian fare, from the appetizer bar to the dependable main courses make this a great restaurant. Through in great wine and desserts make a terrific dining experience.
We've eaten here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Its usually crowded but that has never made a difference and our reservations have always been honored almost immeadiately. The food is always perfectly prepared and delivered immeadiatley. This time was if anthing better then i had remembered.
Had a 7:45 pm reservation on a Friday night. My sister and I were treated like valued friends, and seated in a quiet booth for 4 under the "big lips." We chose all vegetarian items. The food was fantastic! Don't miss the eggplant caponata, and the roasted cauliflower pizza. Treat yourself to a couple of cocktails, too. They know how to make a perfect Manhattan.
We were in NYC last weekend and went to Trattoria Dell'Arte for dinner Saturday night. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was excellent. The only negative part was when we were at the bar and I ordered a Cosmo and asked for a a glass of ice on the side. There was a little bit of my drink left in the shaker and the Bartendar promptly poured it in a small glass and gave it to 2 girls he was flirting with. I thought that was in bad taste. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman, who confirmed our reservation and seated us. Unfortunately, the service was downhill from there. We were greeted by a server, who seemed aloof. He never asked if we wanted a starter, never shared the specials. We asked about one thing on the menu, and he said they didn't have it that day. We picked items from the menu -- and for two of those we selected, the waiter later told us one wasn't available and the other "the chef is doing it differently today." wish he had mentioned it before we had ordered.
The cauliflower pizza was truly outstanding. The food here remains excellent even after ten years which was the last time I was there!
