The antipasto was good but fully priced. The pasta poorly cooked and pasty. Disappointing. A middle of the road Italian food factory.
We have an apartment around the corner from the restaurant and have dined there on several occasions. The experience is consistently good. Wonderful food and very accomodating service. The staff goes out of its way to make the experience positive. And the antipasto bar is worth the trip alone.
I can't say enough about the food, service and friendly Italian dining experience while visiting NYC at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The veal parmigiana is a must order. I found the other patrons to be friendly and sharing of menu items in this cozy seating environment. The decor is very tasteful with just the right lighting. If I lived in Mid-town NYC I would return often for the fine dining here.

Great place for Carnegie Hall patrons I like the ambience and the wait staff are very experienced
I was looking for a restaurant close to Carnegie Hall and by the other reviews that I read, took the chance on this restaurant. It was really crowded and we had to wait for our table. There was really no where for us to wait that we weren't in someone's way - and it was pretty frigid out this particular evening. Food was outstanding and service was very quick and friendly! Great spot to eat before a show!
Pricing was too high for the quality of the food and vs. the other restaurants in the theatre district.
