We've dined here on more than one occasion and it's always delightful. Trusted New Yorkers have even reaffirmed that it's a favorite among the natives. That says a lot. Service is always respectful and accommodating and the food is incredible all the way to the desserts (great canolis and amazing coffee!!) I highly recommend this gem !
A scenic delight from the minute you walk in. The 100 layer lasagna and the tordelli Bolognese were aromatic and visually stunning. The service was full without being intrusive. A pre-Carngie Hall meal (it's directly across 7th Ave) that left plenty of time for dessert (tartufo) and a post meal walk. I would recommend this restaurant every day of the week.
If I still lived in New York City, I would be a regular. The maître d' could not have been more welcoming, nor the waitstaff more friendly and accommodating. We had terrific Cosmos, and the pizza Margherita is the best I have had outside of Italy. I also had a yummy beet, walnut, and goat cheese salad. I used to go to this Carnegie Hall neighbor pretty often when I lived in the city, and was reminded about it when I read that Rafael Nadal and his entourage frequent it during the U.S. Open. No wonder! It is a gem!
We had a wonderful dinner here just before attending a concert at Carnegie Hall, which is just across the street. The host was incredibly friendly when we arrived and the entire staff made us feel welcome and at ease for the rest of our time there. The food was wonderful, flavorful and exactly what we hoped for. We will most definitely be back again in the future!
The food is great and the service rocks! Brandon and Jeff make the night special ! A must go!!!!
The food at this restaurant is reliable and well priced. Both the Calf's Liver and Duck were done to perfection. One of the best spots pre Carnegie Hall. We will be back!
Loved the giant tortellini w bolognese here. Veal piccata also nice. My ten year old liked the thin plain pizza. Our maître d and server were welcoming, enthusiastic and friendly. Will return next trip to try the extensive antipasto.
I go here every time I'm in NY. Love it
