This is a very expensive New York City place but not to be missed if you want a look at NYC theatre goers. It's loud and crowded before the Carnegie Hall concerts, but a fun spot.
Trattoria dell' Arte is consistently good.
Wonderful lobster pizza! We asked for a window table when we reserved, but got a table in the back room instead (about as far away from a window as you could get). Probably the quietest place we could have gotten, but still very hard to conduct a conversation. Service was slow but the place was really packed so I can't really blame the server. Right across the street from Carnegie Hall.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food, service and ambiance are always outstanding.

Excellent service and food but very very noisy in area on first floor in the back. I would recommend sitting upstairs or in the back room if you want to hear each other. The food and service are always terrific!
Every time we are in New York (from L.A.) we return to our favorite restaurant. The anti pasta is amazing as are the fish specialties and pasta. Cannot wait to return!
One of the great staffs in the City.
Great food, great service. Osso Bucco was twice the size of other restaurants. Wife had a pizza and could only eat 1/3. Food is delicious and presentations are stylish. Highly recommended.
