I've been bringing my cats here for 10 years. Prior to 2022 I would have given them 5 stars but I'm not so pleased anymore. The ownership changed and the vet tech/office staff are all new. 1 vet remains and new ones have been in/out for what seems like a short time. The icing on the cake for me was my taking my cat in for her exam/vaccines and I never saw or spoke to the vet. It was all done "in the back". I got a receipt but no blood work results. I called back the next day insisting on talking to the vet about her though... read more
Update: Erin, the clinic's manager, mailed our pet records, accused us of being disrespectful and told us to go elsewhere. More shaming in response to criticism. We are the advocates for our pets. Our family is the most important thing in the world to us. We don't apologize for speaking up. When a relationship breaks, hindsight reveals multiple issues that built up to the break. That was the case with this clinic. We had repeated issues with parking, wait times, prescription refills, etc. The unexpected death of one of our ... read more
Business response:
We apologize for the error on your written prescription. Occasionally mistakes do happen and we apologize that this caused a delay in filling your pets prescription. Regarding your statement that our staff does not care about animals in pain, we can assure you that the reason for the delay was because the doctor who prescribed this medication was caring for another patient and the person who loves them. As soon as he was available, the written prescription was corrected. Again we apologize for the delay and any frustration i... read more
UPDATE: We managed to get our dog seen by a different vet on Friday. They immediately figured out what was wrong. He had a terrible bacterial/yeast infection on his paw. They prescribed multiple medications and antibiotics. Absolutely unbelievable that this was missed on TWO separate visits to Travis Country Veterinary Hospital, in both cases with us being sent home saying "nothing's wrong with him." Our dog spent 10 days in pain because of this incompetence. That's putting aside how rudely we were treated when we trie... read more

Hi Adam, we are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your pet's visit. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to your furry friend and are saddened that you felt otherwise. Someone from our team will be contacting you shortly.
This is a follow-up to the comment left below to my earlier review. Yes, I used the on-line booking site to schedule the operations. When I realized that the on-line booking process didn't have an appointment type of nuetering or spaying, I called and spoke to someone who told me to just use the well-visit appointment and add to the notes of what procedures I needed. Waiting a couple of weeks to call me is unacceptable, especially when the call was to tell me nothing was available. Perhaps it didn't occur to you that an ... read more
Business response:
Hello, Mike--we're so sorry you feel this way. Upon investigation, our records show that you used our online booking tool to schedule your pets to get neutered and spayed. However, we don't offer surgery appointments online, and you scheduled them under "Vaccines/Annual Checkup" for half-hour appointments. Unfortunately, both of those procedures take far longer than that. As in human hospitals, we make special appointments for surgical patients so that they are given all the important pre-care that's necessary for a surgical... read more
Find another place! Found out I put my poor dog through an unnecessary hip procedure, only to have the problem exist after the surgery/recovery. Oh, did I mention she got an infection after the surgery and it didn't seem to phase anyone. After recovery, the doctor then mentioned it probably would be a good idea if our dog lost weight. She did and her hips corrected themselves. Maybe that should have been the first plan of attack instead of a horrible surgery.
Business response:
Sarah, we're so sorry that your pet wasn't diagnosed to your satisfaction. Unfortunately, we're unable to identify you as a patient at our clinic. For many years, the only hip procedures offered by Travis Country were the pectineal myotomy and the femoral head osteotomy. The last femoral head osteotomy here was performed in June of 2016, and the last pectineal myotomy was in December of 2014. We do have a boarded surgeon now who will do orthopedic procedures for us, but his records back to January of 2017 don't show any hip ... read more
For over ten years I used this vet and loved everything about it. They were always great. Four of our animals ended their lives here. They treated us with great compassion, fairness and kindness. With the retirement of the lead doctor everything changed. What they don't tell you is they are now run by a "corporation." We took our two small dogs in there and were seen by a vet we had never heard of and our bill was four times what we were quoted. Their only interest now apparently is feeding money to the "corporation." Today... read more
Business response:
Carl, as a long-time client we truly value your feedback and are terribly sorry that you were disappointed with our services. We wish you had brought it to our attention on the date of service six months ago, so we could have addressed your concerns right then and there. Our records show that you were given estimates for both procedures performed that day, and that you did indeed pay more than the amounts on the estimates. Unfortunately, when extra services that are not on the estimate are requested, or extractions and medic... read more
First, I would like to say that I have already contacted Travis Country, so this review will not be a shock to them. I visited Dr. Parsons last week with my 8 year old Great Dane. She had developed a limp and of course, I took her to the vet. We have only seen Dr. Parsons twice since she is still relatively new there so, I was a bit nervous but she made me feel at ease by saying that she has had dane's in the past herself. What a relief! She then asked me where I thought the pain was and I told her. She then felt around her ... read more
I hate to downgrade the Veterinary office I've used and loved for over 20 years, but Dr. Trlica's retirement changes everything. I recently took my Bichon for his annual shots and was told that Dr. Trlica had retired. I decided to go ahead and visit, and asked for Dr. Murphee. I had seen her once during an illness and really liked her style. When we arrived, we were show into the room and given a Dr. who's name isn't even on the building or list. She was definitely not Dr. Murphee, and while she was adequate and frien... read more
Tried to call this place repeatedly when my cat was really ill. The number rings once and then disconnects....
