Had a problem w a product I bought from them. I got the impression the staff was not used to customer service and felt the overarching motto was "customer beware." Just moments before I had bought $160 in groceries. I decided to sever the relationship and return what I had bought and shop elsewhere in the future. my wife lives and loves Uncle Giuseppe's. She is there a minimum of 3 times a week. Always happy. Last night she came home about as upset as I have ever seen here in regard to a customer service issue. A women in front of her ordered from the bakery. After she received her order the YOUNG man behind the counter SAW HER and just walked away to help a fellow employee stock something. She says she stood there over 10 minutes. Singer on Saturdays really how cheesy can you get? Stay away from all prepared foods unless you want the shits ! Seafood dept is probably the best thing this store has to offer, the meat department is highly over priced and the quality is sub par.
Not all Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace are created equal! This dark, claustrophobic m, disorganized store is a far cry from the Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Massapequa. I happened to be in Port Washington and figured I could pick up some dinner here. The meatballs are not as good. The cashier (a young man) couldn't be bothered to be polite and charged me full price for sale items. I won't be back but really, the brand should consider fixing this place up.
employees are key people to a grocery store but i must say i just came back from there and the young lady behind the gellatto counter was not very nice at all! never wiped off the container and when asked her to clean it off she got annoyed never smiled and when i mentioned it to the cash register girl she indicated that nobody likes her! i would never want that person on my team. For the record sunday 9-2-17 arond 12 noon if they need to find that person
The food in all these Uncle Guisseppe has too much salt...just bought lightly salted mozzarella...it was loaded with salt.I would hate to see what salted mozzarella would be like.I also bought the capponata and it was loaded with salt...Don't they realize people who want salt can just add it.Nowadays people are very self conscious about salt for health reasons..Salt causes alot of health problems...so says my brother who is a Cardiologist.....KEEP OUT THE SALT!!!!!
