So I'd like to start by saying by no way or shape am I looking for conversation or a friendly encounter when I go grocery shopping. But when I enter this store it makes me feel like it must be a miserable place to work. Every employee has a sour puss on their face from every department and check out line. while shopping today I had the unfortunate experience of watching a worker deliberately embarrass and belittle an African American man while and after he paid for his items. The poor man was followed and watched while waking through and down each isle. After paying he was asked to open his backpack for the man to check all done loudly for all to hear. Besides the blatant racism and ignorance. He showed how foolish he truly is as his request was as he literally watched him so if he stole something he would have seen. What ... read more

First of all, I love this place. I have been coming over for almost 10 years now. Excellent food, amazing customer service, BUT, I couldn't believe what my eyes were witnessing a few days ago; I was checking out my groceries on the last register near to the Deli, the cashier was being so nice and respectful to me, I have seen him before and every time I'm there he never disappoints me, he always ask me if I found everything I needed, if everything was good in the store, and he is always very professional and polite. I really don't know what's up with the bakery. I went there on 2 separate occasions. The first time the rainbow cookies and lemon bar thing were awful. The second time I got a pound of rainbow cookies and they were so old that the outside was hard and a darker hue. The other cookies tasted like everything in that fridge. It's hard to explain but it's that taste when something is left open in the fridge and it takes on the smells etc of the other foods. Everything was just gross. Nothing is really GOOD here. I think people go because it's the only thing like it in the area. Pizza stinks, cold food stinks, hot food stinks, meats aren't that good. Just a blah place.

I always go to Uncle Giuseppe's for my Christmas desserts, this year was no different, I also got a Birthday cake for my grandson. I bought 1lb of Cannoli's - no taste and the shells were soft. I bought a cheesecake - no taste and no crust. I bought a carrot cake - so so so dry. I bought a Birthday cake - it was so dry and hard. I bought a chocolate chip cookie cake - that was actually moist and tasted good.
