I paid for my parking but the receipt from the payment machine is illegible. Not my problem! When I got back to my car I got a citation!

I had an understanding that if you had a handicap permit parking in a handicap space there was no charge in *******. My handicap permit was hanging from my mirror, however I received a citation for $63.00. I believe there should be a notice on the handicap sign stating that payment is required. Unified Parking Partners will happily give a $63 "CITATION" for 21 minutes after you've already paid $14 for 2 hours of parking in a cramped lot. Unfortunately, potential victims won't see the horrible things people say on BBB, YELP and everywhere else until after they've been pillaged with a "Citation". I parked in a private lot at 154 106Ave in Treasure Island. I paid for I hour at 7:29 PM. The Machine charged me $5.00. It approved my credit card and asked for my phone number to send me a text. I returned to the machine at 8:23 and paid for an additional hour with the same approval for my credit card and phone number. I did receive a text on the payment for the second hour. This company ticketed me in the Thompsons Point lot even though I paid and had the receipt on my dashboard. I appealed with photos of my receipt and they denied the appeal. My receipt was still good for 30 minutes after the citation was written. Awful business practice. I will not pay the fine.
BBB requires 1 star, I say No STARS! Egregious Charges!! Be WARNED I parked in the lot, the machine took repeated attempts to pay their $4 per hour fee.I Parked for two hours for a dinner date. When it was time to leave it was Monsooning outside and my umbrella was in the car...I waited for the downpour to stop and when I arrived at my car, 15 minutes late I met the control person as she put the citation on my windshield. A horrible experience. Just like the other review below. I was in Portsmouth celebrating with my daughter. I payed a &17 fee to park. We had dinner, walked around, had a coffee and a dessert, enjoying the fog and the charm of the city. Spent plenty of money. I got back to my car, I was late, I get it. I had a citation on my windshield for &68 !!! What a buzzkill. I might expect a reasonable extra charge, NOT a 400% fine. The details on the back of the citation were very threatening as well.
