Parked on Siesta Key last weekend and was unable to pay for more than one hour at a time. Our ticket was expired for an hour. I appealed the ticket stating it wasn't a non-payment issue and was denied. Because the appeal was denied an hour after my request, the additional fee was added - totaling the ticket to $63.00. Very disappointing. How is a $63.00 parking ticket for a 1-hour expired space (accidentally) legal?
Paid for parking at lot near ******************** in ******** and my CC was charged at 5:14 p.m. the sum of $6.30 for an hour. At 5:18 p.m. a citation for $63.00 was put under the wiper of my vehicle. While I was able to successfully appeal this fine with the company based upon the irrefutable proof, this company's practices need to be exposed and addressed. Parked at ***** Pass on 5/24/22. Paid at the kiosk that we could hardly read with our charge card. It was approved and shows up on our monthly statement that it was paid. back to the vehicle in an hour and citation says we did not pay. tried to contact the company several days. Could not get thru to anyone. We have the text from them showing it was paid. tried to send them the text but no luck with that either. now received a letter that we owe $63. Frustrating. It is paid and have the proof.
Received a letter on 6/21/2022 from ** parking stateing I failed to pay a parking ticket issued on May 23. The letter gave me less than 24 hours to pay $63.00. If not, the fine would increase and my car possibly towed. On the date in question, I twice tried to pay the machine and thought it worked as the screen showed $12.00. Do not park in these lots. Used one in **********, ** for not even am hour and was charged a ***** fine. Anywhere else you pay when you leave since you don't know how long you'll be there. Why would you pay beforehand? Absolute scam.
This company is a scam and is ruining businesses up and down the beaches of ******* especially ************* and treasure island area. They come in buy empty lots turn them into parking lots charge insane parking prices and then still ticket , or they go around to business owners to "manage" there lots and offer them a price they can't turn down. My "handicapped" friend and I went to *************** beach, and pulled into the parking lot at the corner of *************. and *********. There were 2 attendants there. The lot appeared packed so before we left, we asked "******" if there were anymore parking spots. He said no spots left, but asked me to follow him so he could "accommodate us". Their lot in ********** ******* in the downtown area has no Handicapped parking spots, I was told they charge for handicap parking so they don't need to have those spots designated, according to the *** yes they do. At **** an hr which is robbery so if they don't care about people with disabilities than they should follow all the rules per ******* guidelines. Which I'm that person who will bug all the people to get that done
