This company is trash. Their tracking and communication are less than good. They had no clue my shipment was picked up and was in transit. When my shipment did arrive it was damaged and would not fix, as it was "not eligible for deductible ". When you see this company suggested just keep moving to the next one.
It is my first time to used this USHIP company to transport my car fron ******* to St. ******** I was really disappointed and get stress about my car because they didn't deliver my car on the date that sopposed to be in my house last July 20. This company is one of the biggest scams on the internet right now. They let anyone with a truck without any vetting process ship goods. This creates a plethora of thieves and drug users stealing products. Uship's condones this and allows for its users to threaten its user with violence. The feedback system they have is ineffective and allows for carriers to hold your property hostage while uship "looks into it" and does nothing. First of all , this company subs all the work out to anyone who has a set of wheels .i mean anyone. they do not disclose third party rules and regulations , which in turn is why these third party companies upcharge every chance they get, at ridiculous conclusions.They post generated quotes and once you accept it your thinking your only paying that quote, which is an outright misleading advertising done by USHIP. they do not verify anything except the payment situation, they do not side with proven facts giving to them by pho... read more
The good - pretty simple and straightforward to post shipping needs, simple process to conclude payment to the carrier after delivery - at least for me on my first and only load. The bad? Where to start.... Uship is apparently raking in a ton of money, 15-20% charged to carriers/brokers + @ 7% charged to me, and since they charge your CC as soon as you book and not until after delivery you can bet they're banking more on that before releasing the payment. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!!! These people are total CROOKS. They give you a bid, you pay, they ship it, (LATE and then do not adjust the price for them being LATE), then after you have received the item and after the insurance time has run out on reporting damage, they bill your account for additional fees " from the shipping company", blaming UPS. I have had OK luck with uship and horrible service from some of their providers, some shipments are collected reasonably fast and delivered in a couple of weeks. On the other hand I am still waiting on an order with one of their providers that was picked up 3 months ago. uShip was helpful in that I was able to find a shipper that would deliver my furniture. Upon researching uShip, I found that uShip charged the shipper almost 15% as a fee, and I also paid a fee of $30 for the service. The quote was for $400, so between the shipper and myself uShip received $87.50 in fees. I do not believe they screen the shippers in any way, and uShip will not get involved if there is a problem with a shipper and buyer beware stance. Be careful of shipping scams through UShip! My shipment was stolen by the carrier and UShip provided no effective assistance. After filing police reports, retracing phony stories, and dealing with the fact that my treasured items were most likely at a pawn shop and I would receive no reimbursement, my only recourse is to warn others. My shipping provider was a criminal and UShip takes no responsibility for scams like this operating under their umbrella. In fact, UShip blocked me so I can't even communicate with them.
