Incompetent employees galore at Vanderbilt. The first 3 years of my loan I've had to pay my property tax out of my own pocket and have yet to be reimbursed, all at the same time being forced to pay this as part of my monthly escrow installment. I've yet to get a reimbursement or adjustment to my account. It's astonishing how tasks are kicked from one individual to the next with no resolution. Impossible to work with. I filed for bankruptcy, and they still have my account set up for autopay despite the loan being discharged (having the attorney look into this - may be filing motions with the federal court). Refuses to assist us with documentation so we can sell the home we live in. Do not use under any circumstances or you will get screwed.
was 5 stars when I worked with Jennifer Johnson in Dec 2024 to get the loan. Now down to 2 stars as I sold the house in Sep 5 2025 and have been waiting a month on a $14k escrow check, where the call center rep told me the week of the 8th it would be processed on the 22nd. Then I call on the 30th and they don't know what is going on and have no notes (about me calling, processing, mailing or otherwise). Now they tell me another 7 business days to wait on processing. I have been with VMF for 5 years. In that time, every single transaction has been a painful miscommunication or lack of follow up or concern. It started with the original finance contact that we had. There was constant miscommunication and lack of response. We escalated our concerns and it fell on deaf ears. Mind you, each payment is on time and has never, ever been late. This company is the worst about helping people that need help. After purchasing our home I lost my job of 6 yrs, I called and asked if the mortgage could help us and they refused. The mortgage company is only worried about there money & the people that work there apparently have never been in a situation were they do not have any money. I will NEVER recommend this mortgage company to anyone!!
I’ve never had so many issues with a company taking my money for a payment. They take an extra week to process the withdrawal. The only way options to pay them on the day the bill is due costs extra fees just to send your payment through a third party. I’ve set up auto draft and done one time payments but somehow there’s always an issue. Other than that I’i have no complaints but they’re payment system is set up for you to fail and then collect an extra $25
Lizeth is the worst she is rude don't care about people or what they going through as she says I'm sorry I have no help for you people die everyday so how are you gonna get caught up. She should not be in customer service
They are not very good at customer service they like to threaten people tell them how they can't take care of their family when you fall behind and yell at senior citizens who just had heart surgery and ended back in hospital with high blood pressure. Yes her name is Lizeth not a nice person never returns calls or emails but fast to threaten foreclosure than to actually help come to a solution to get caught up and don't even ask for a forebeance or mitigation cause they don't believe in helping people.
I called in my payment today and I won’t lie I had a very bad attitude and was getting very smart with the Rep. he maintained his professionalism and was able to help me when I needed help the most, as a team Kellie Wheeler and Peyton Haynes made my whole entire day and month be a blessing that I wasnt expecting.. My heart can’t thank you enough ❤️I thank you guys sooooooo much
