I always pay my mortgage early, we'll imagine my surprise when I saw that even though I made my February 2025 payment on 1/21/2025, Vanderbilt is still saying I owe for February. We'll looking back they applied the early payment I made December 24, 2024 to January 2025 but also the payment I made in 1/21 and it looks like they screwed up because that first payment was made in 2024. So I have to stay up all night being stressed about this, being punished for making early payments. Good job accounts department
Customer service is not good
Received an email stating my 1098 was read to print a copy. logged in to website and it is tell me the form will be available after January 25. somebody needs to get there act together. please do not try and tell me in was an computer error because it is a human that programs the computer the computer just does what it is instructed to do.
Payment not being until 60 after you move in is lie! Company has been aware that we have not been able to move in and despite asking multiple times, refuse to push the due date back until we can actually move in. False advertisement at it finest.
Horrible, sold our loan, which is fine, but then reported our account as delinquent on our credit report. We do not have a past due amount here because they sold our loan. The lady on the phone was rude and told me she would put in a research request and that I was the second person this has happened to lately. I asked her what is being done so others wouldn't have this happened and she was rude again and said she put in the request.
Slowest approval and processing company in the world. Don't get all excited like your going to be moving. It's almost the middle of November and we started In the beginning of September home has been ready to move before applying
I am very disappointed with the length of time it is took to process this loan purchase. It's been six months so far. This is exceeding even your estimated time. It is costing me $1000/week for this inconvenience!!! The lawyers were bad with the paperwork. I could not get any compensation for my lost time. The responses to my inquiries were late or non-existent. You can improve by giving the buyer better dates for each step of the loan process so they can plan. Keep the lawyer's paperwork flowing. I haven't had great success with my dealing with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance. Customer service is a joke. Everytime I call for a concern they state the issue has been taken care of and then when I call back they say it has not been completely addressed. I am disgusted with being told one thing and no one following through with their jobs.
Site is very user friendly, however for the last couple of months it will not send the authorization code to my phone and that is frustrating.
